Obituary

Gary Goff, 68, of Hurricane, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2009, after a long illness.

He was born in Charleston, on August 27, 1941 and grew up in Loudendale, before moving to Hurricane. Gary was a U. S. Army veteran, having served in Germany. He was a mail carrier in Hurricane where he retired from the U. S. Postal Service. He was the youngest of six children of Margaret Alice Means Goff and Lee Fitzue Goff.

Gary was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Joe "Ronnie" Goff and his wife, Paulette Goff.

He is survived by his two sons, Scott Goff and Rick Goff, as well as six grandchildren, Rikki Jo, Micah, Tanner, Noah, Corey and Elisha.

Friends and loved ones may call on the family during visiting hours to be held Monday evening, December 21, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m., at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 22 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Reverend Phillip Bower and Gary's brother and friend, Frank Goff officiating.

Gary was a member of the Hurricane Church of the Nazarene. He was a compassionate and loving man that always put others first. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

The family would like to sincerely thank the doctors and nursing staff at Thomas Memorial Hospital for the excellent care and compassion they extended to Gary during his time in the hospital.
