James T. Hamer, 85, of Dunbar, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 3, 2010.
James retired from Libbey Owens Ford Glass Company. He served his country in the US Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Drennen.
Mr. Hamer is survived by his wife, Imogene Hamer; sons, Thomas Hamer, Earl Hamer, Rock Hamer, Terry Hamer all of Charleston; daughter, Candace Drennen of Malden; step-sons, Albert Harris of Gallipolis, OH, Ronald Harris of Palestine; step-daughter, Ruth Fore of Charleston; 4 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 6, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Earl Cochran officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
