James Allen "Jim" Harris went home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2021.

Jim was a Christian and a member of Dunbar United Methodist Church. He was born in Charleston but grew up in New Jersey.

Jim graduated from Cliffside Park High School, NJ. He received his Registered Nursing Degree from Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing, NJ, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia State University.

Jim worked in various hospitals including Charleston Area Medical Center. During the later part of his career he worked as an RN for the Policy Review Division of the WV Department of Health and Human Resources, and retired from there.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and June Harris.

Jim is survived by his wife, Regina Boothe Harris; uncle, Howard Crawford; cousins and friends, including a lifelong friend, Ed Malillo.

Regina would like to thank St. Mary's Home Health for their excellent care the past few years, and the staff of the CPICU at CAMC Memorial Hospital for their excellent care of and compassion for Jim.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, February 26, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Burial will follow at Clover Cemetery, Spencer.

Friends may gather from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
