James Russell Little, 66, raised and lived his entire life on Tyler Mountain passed away suddenly at home on December 5, 2016.

He was born on December 23, 1949 to the late Joel Ray Little and Freddie Mae Roberts.

James was a friend to everyone and attended McKinnon Presbyterian Church on Tyler Mountain.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his uncle and aunt who raised him; Toby and Rosalie Asbury, sisters, Sue Rhodes and Pam Little; and brother, Joel Ray Little Jr.

James is survived by his brother, Carl Little; sisters, Mary Elliott, JoAnn Bailey, Kathy King and Connie Snyder; nephews and nieces, Shawn Little (Crissy), Lisa Bailey (Jr), Kelly Shinn (Jim), Tim Lanham (Juanita), Carmel Baldwin (Alvie), Clayton Long (Mindy), Tammy Roberts, Candy Millican, Tammy Wilson (Ronnie); a host of great nephews and nieces; and his dog, Little Tommy.

Services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, at McKinnon Presbyterian Church on Tyler Mountain with Reverend Doug Minnerly officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 9 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
