James Arthur Miller, 81, of Cross Lanes, was born on March 16, 1926 and passed away March 13, 2008 at CAMC Memorial Hospital.
He was retired from Union Carbide with 43 years of service and was a US Army veteran of WW II, having participated in the Battle of the Bulge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Esta Miller, brothers, Mansel, Leon, Charles and Wayne Miller and sister, Rita Miller Kimble.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Wanda; children, Ann Garrett and her husband, Jerry and Mike Miller and his wife, Teresa, all of Cross Lanes and Paula Sheler and her husband, Carl of Moore, OK. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and the eighth great grandchild is eagerly expected at any time. There are also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to express special thanks to Teresa Calhoun.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, March 14, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. James Phillips officiating. The graveside service will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 15, at the Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens West Virginia Chapel.
