James "Jimmy" L. Morris, 72, of South Charleston, formally of Coco Road passed away on August 10, 2013 at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
James retired from the USAF and from the State of West Virginia's Office of Emergency Services.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Virgie (Pittman) Morris; infant sister, Betty; brother, Bill; and daughter, Lisa Fowler.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Monday Morris; sons, Steven of Pennsylvania,
Sam (Leslie) of Des Moines, Iowa, Matt (Amanda) of Charleston; daughter, Julie of Charleston; step-sons, Jeff Honaker, Rodney Monday; step-daughter, Lora Monday Davie; sisters, Pauline Tucker, Jennie (Clarence) Shaffer, and Helen Lantz all of Charleston; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; many nephews and nieces; and many friends.
Honoring Jim's wishes, he will be cremated with no funeral services. There will be a private graveside service for immediate family members at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery.
