Obituary

James "Jim" Earl Moss, 80, of Dunbar went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2014.

He was born in Charleston on November 27, 1933 and was a son of the late Guy and Betty Moss.

Jim was a lifelong member of Dunbar First Baptist Church and retired from the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources after 35 years of service.

He served in the Army National Guard of West Virginia, Company B 150 Armed Calvary Regiment as a Tank Commander.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret "Porky" Parsons Moss.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Cathy Moss of Hurricane; two sons, Jim Moss and his wife, Jenny, of Hurricane, and Bill Moss of Dunbar; sister, Lynne Pearson of Melbourne, Fla; nieces, Shirley Rumsey and Kim Swarthout; nephews, Richard McCoy and Scott Ellis; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 12 at Dunbar First Baptist Church with Pastor Pete Thompson and Pastor Jason Quintrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Town of Winfield Cemetery, Winfield.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 11 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
