James Corbett
Mullins
June 22, 1945 – October 17, 2016
James Corbett Mullins, 71, of Charleston, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 17, 2016 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was born in Charleston on June 22, 1945 to the late William and Harriet Mullins.
James was a loving husband to the love of his life to which he was married 32 years and 2 months.
He served on the Pinch Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Hissom Church of the Nazarene. He served proudly as a food pantry volunteer for several years. James loved to fish, watch Mountaineer football and Nascar #24.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
James is survived by his wife, Phyllis Mullins of Charleston, son; Edward Wiles of Charleston; daughter, Regina Centers of Charleston; grandchildren, Zachary of Charleston, Justin of Morgantown, Andrea of Florida and Lindsay of Florida; one great-grandson; a special nephew, John of Charleston; and several brothers and sisters.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Joyce and Mike Moore, Nurse Ronna, Nurse Alisha, Nurse Danielle, Dr. Nanjundappa, Dr. Mandapaka and Dr. Justice along with the staff of CAMC Memorial Hospital and Select Specialty Hospital for their care.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 24 at Graceland Memorial Park with Pastor Bonnie Hissom officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
