Obituary

James Camp Richardson, also known as "Roo" and "JC", 41, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023.

He was born in Charleston, on October 20, 1981 to the late James "Jim" or "Jimmy" and Paula Richardson.

James attended Nitro High School where he met his future wife and many of the friends he has today.  He was employed many places over the years from retail to the food industry.  One way or another he was always finding a way to put food on the table for his wife and kids.

He loved watching movies with his family, having cookouts, playing Injustice, listening to hippie rock music, and just spending quality time with his loved ones. He was a talented cook, gamer, artist, and was always ready with one of his never-ending cheesy dad jokes.  James will be remembered by his unconditional love for his family and friends, his sense of humor and facetious puns, and his endless helping hands.

His memory will live on through his wife, Krisha Richardson with whom he shared 22 years together raising three beautiful, talented, loving children; Jhaisey, Arionna, and Noah Richardson; aunt, Robin "Rara" Bryant, who viewed him as a son; along with his grandfather, many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers, and friends, as well as his four wonderful pets.

May he rest in peace: a father, husband, son, grandson, nephew, brother, and friend to many.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.

A GoFundMe link https://gofund.me/2a44f33c has been set up in order for the family to purchase a headstone, take his case to court for justice, and to support his family during these difficult times.  Every donation is beyond appreciated.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
