It is a sad day with both heavy , happy hearts full of loss, love and celebration for those of us waiting between the already and the not yet, until that glorious day when those of us who share faith in Christ will be reunited with our loved ones in Glory! During this unique time of separation and distancing, we are reminded to cling to the day when there will be no more sorrow, no more pain, and no more death.

On Thursday, April 30, 2020, Janet A Hilyard, age 71, was called Home, fully healed to her own blessed reunion.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Winford, her parents, Clifford and Mary Anna Hagy, and sister Diane Hayden. Waiting until the day they are joined with her again, are her daughter Robyn (Noah), and her two sons, Brian (Carrielynn) and Douglas. She is also survived by her pride and joy, her 8 grandchildren.

Lovingly known as Nana, "Nina", Ma and Mom, she was an incredible and godly mother, a gentle and loving grandmother, and a role model for all her children and adults who had the opportunity to know and share time with her. She went Home to Heaven showing grace and strength to everyone around her in her final days.

She dedicated much of her life to ministering alongside of her husband as a pastor's wife, teaching in Christian schools and helping to homeschool several of her grandchildren, and working as an administrative secretary until she retired.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Blvd W, Charleston WV 25387.

A memorial service is being planned in Wilmington Delaware once social distancing guidelines have been eased. More information will be available at a future date.
