Jay Dennis "Denny" "J.D." Stover, 82, of Dunbar went to be with the Lord on Sunday April 12, 2026.

He was born in Charleston to the late Joseph and Ruby Stover.

Denny was a member of Roxalana Gospel Tabernacle.  For more than fifty years, Denny worked as a truck driver.  Denny will be remembered for his friendly spirit - he truly never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Stover; grandson, Brandon Stover; and brothers, Joesph "Bud", James and Joel "Smokey" Stover.

Denny is survived by his brother, Jerry Stover; sons, Jay Dennis Stover Jr. and William Scott Stover (Gwen); daughter, Tonya Renae Foster (Robert); several, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 16 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.  Burial will follow in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
