Obituary

Jeffrey A. Martin, 66, of Culloden, West Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 12, 2024 while at home.

Jeff worked as a paramedic for Marmet ambulance service, and retired from Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority.  He was fondly referred to as "Mountain", a nickname given to him by one of his partners.  Jeff stood 7 feet tall, and they all said he could block the sun. Strangers would often ask, "how tall are you?", and would reply 4' 36" just to see their face.  Jeff liked to make people laugh.  He enjoyed classic cars, drag racing, and riding his motorcycle.  Jeff accepted the Lord later in life and attended Maranatha Fellowship Church when his health allowed.  He also enjoyed watching the church service online.  Jeff loved the Lord and enjoyed studying his Bible.  He will be missed by his family and friends, and remembered fondly by the countless number of people whose life he saved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Thelma Martin; sister, Kyra Sue Martin; and his brother, Charles "Chucky" Martin.

Jeff is survived by his sister, Teresa Champe of Lexington, KY; his longtime partner, Tammy Barker; his son, Jahred Martin; three stepdaughters; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Maranatha Fellowship Church, 2910 Kanawha Terrace, St. Albans, WV.

Visitors will be welcomed one hour prior to the service at the Church.

Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
