Obituary

Jerry Wayne Daniels, 71, of Charleston, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 8, 2024, after an extended illness.

He was born on September 5, 1952, in Charleston, WV to the late William Daniels Jr. and Maxine R Daniels.

He received his education through Kanawha County Schools and furthered his education receiving a degree in Culinary Arts. Jerry was a man of unconditional love and compassion, with a shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen and a heart that understood without judgment or criticism. Jerry was an open door to his family and friends with open arms regardless of the situation, and for that he will be greatly respected, appreciated and missed.
Jerry had an avid and undying love for his entire family as a whole. He had an exceptional relationship with his daughter AnnMarie, his son-in-law Harold Sr, whom he loved as his own son, grandchildren, Harold Jr., and Teaira; and, great-grandchildren, Nas'Jaih Jones and Na'Caiyh Spencer who helped take care of Papa throughout his illness.

As a young man, Jerry received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior under the Pastorship of Reverend Hill of The Father's House, and remained faithful in serving. He faithfully attended Jordon Outreach Center under the Pastorship of Robin Davis.. He was a strong soldier in the Army of the Lord and by putting on the whole armour of God he served his heavenly Father faithfully until his final call to glory. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith" II Timothy 4:7.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Daniels Scott; and, grandsons Stephen Q Jones, Quinton Campbell, and Royce Gadson.

Left to cherish Jerry's memory are his daughters, AnnMarie Pannell (Harold), Alisha Latta, and Crystal Jones; sons, Phillip Spurlock and Charlie Jones; sisters, Minister Jean Daniels and Wanda Smith (Will); 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  He will also be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephew, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends; close friends, Donita Sayles, Jennifer Rollins, Billy Boy, and Stephanie Starks. We want to acknowledge and thank everyone for your condolences, expressions of love, and especially your prayers which have helped to dull the sting of the unfortunate loss of our beloved Jerry.
