Jerry Dale Jones, born on September 11, 1944, was born in Charleston, West Virginia, and passed on Sunday, February 23, 2025.

He was a 1962 graduate of St. Albans High School, the son of the late Clifford Jones and Marie Donahue Jones formally of Soldier, Kentucky.

Jerry was married to the late Sheila Ann Jones.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Saint Johns Episcopal Church, Charleston, WV.  He was inducted into the Sons of the American Revolution Lafayette chapter in Fayetteville, North Carolina.  Jerry was also member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Howard Jones of Dunbar, WV.

He leaves behind two daughters, Katie Marie Osborne (Josh) of Frazier's Bottom, WV and Sara Beth Schoolcraft (Travis Chapman) of Ravenswood, WV; six grandchildren, Blake, Annabella, Olivia, Vincent, Daniel, and Karly; brother, Mick Jones of St. Albans, WV; sisters, Pat Burchett of South Charleston, WV and Diana Elmore of Pinch, WV; along with many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025 in Donal C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery.
