Jerry Lee Vickers, 75, of Charleston entered into rest on September 21, 2019.

He was a self-employed and very gifted painter, and was also a former general contractor and painter for Paul White.

Jerry was a very unique character! He will be greatly missed by his family and all his friends at his building, Charleston Arbors.

He was preceded in death by his companion, Sue Ashley; parents, Luscian and Betty Vickers; grandparents, Henderson and Verna Sutherland; brother, Ed Burgess; and sister, Diana Sue Tucker.

Jerry is survived his only daughter, Christina L. Ashley of Dunbar; only granddaughter, Presley Ashley of Dunbar; brother, Danny W. Vickers and his wife, Bobbie of Charleston; and sister, Judy Michael of Charleston.

A memorial service to honor his memory will be held at a later date.
