Jesse Wilson "JW" Young, 81, of Poca, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2007, in CAMC - General Hospital following a short illness.

He was retired from Valley Bell Diary and was a member of Teamsters Local 175. JW was a member of Community Chapel Church, Cross Lanes, and enjoyed gospel singing, and led several choirs in the valley.

Mr. Young is survived by his wife, Donna S. Young; children, Joyce Tompkins of St. Albans, Jesse "Bill" Young of Jacksonville, FL; stepchildren, Judi Copley of Nitro, Ernest "Mike" Hurley of St. Louis, MO, Betsy Lovejoy of Poca, Mary Beth Hurley of Bancroft, Bruce Hurley of Poca; brother, Douglas Young of Fairplain; sisters, Lela Haynes of Sissonville, Myrtle Alexia of St. Augustine, FL, Norma Henson of Sissonville; 9 grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 8, at Community Chapel Church, Cross Lanes, with Pastor Phill Conn officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Friends may call beginning at 12:30 p.m. until service time at Community Chapel Church.
