Obituary

Jessie Lee Huffman Kight, 84, of Dunbar, passed away at Thomas Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, August 10, 2011.

Born on February 16, 1927, she was the youngest daughter of the late Art and Lacy Huffman of Grantsville, WV. She was also predeceased by her husband, Glendon B. "Tubby" Kight in 2001, and siblings, Hunter, Hale and Edith.

Jessie lived most of her adult life and raised her family in Dunbar. She enjoyed crocheting and made afghans for several family members in the last few years. Her family could be found most Sundays gathered around her dinner table for the meals she gladly prepared. She was "Mother" to the kids and "Mommaw" to the grandkids and was always there to lend a helping hand whenever needed. She will be greatly missed.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Left to cherish the memories are her daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Dana Hayes of Dunbar and Beth and John Williamson of Cross Lanes. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Tiffani (Mike) Green of Phillipi, WV, Tony (Cindy) Hayes of Stonewood, WV, Matthew Williamson and Andrew Williamson of Cross Lanes. Great grandchildren are Robbie Swanson, Dustin Hayes, and twins, Cadence and Carigan Hayes. Also surviving are her special great niece, Julie (Jess) Waggoner of South Charleston, WV, and "little brother," Donald (Joyce) Lynch of Ohio. Cherished family members include Beulah Huffman, "Sister" Schiffbauer, Bob (Pat) Huffman, Sandra (Jim) Reedy, Ronnie (Pat) Huffman, Roger (Cheryl) Huffman, Helen Hamilton, Peggy Kight and other family members and special friends.

Visitation with the family at Keller Funeral Home in Dunbar will begin at noon on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Reverend Jess Waggoner will officiate the funeral service at 2 p.m. Entombment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Park Mausoleum, Dunbar.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts to the Dunbar-Institute Samaritan Food Pantry, P. O. Box 396, Dunbar, WV 25064.
