Jim McClure, 80, of Charleston, died Saturday, May 16, 2015, at home.
He was born March 1, 1935 in Dunbar.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert James McClure and Juanita Johnson McClure; and baby brother, Robert.
He served in Air National Guard, was a mason, and a member of Harper Memorial Church.
Jim retired after 50 years of service from Bert Wolfe Ford. After retiring, he worked for Turnpike Ford. His favorite job was working at Sharp Parts with his son, Dick Lacy.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Janet Kersey McClure; daughter, Tonya and Dick Lacy; grandsons, Brandon and Becky Lacy, Barth and Mandy Lacy all of Charleston; special great-grandchildren, Lindee, Abby, Wyatt, Adam and Shelby, who gave him a window of enjoyment daily.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Rhodes and the caring staff at CAMC Cancer Center and Hospice Care.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Jim Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
