Jo Anne Walton's Obituary
Jo Anne Walton passed from this world on Thursday, September 30, 2010, after a valiant fight against cancer.
She was born on February 13, 1935 to Irvin "Boney" and Velma Jarrett Rucker, the first of three children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her only brother, James Stuart Rucker.
Surviving are her sister, Jean R. Angle and niece, Janai Rucker.
The body has been cremated and there will be no formal visitation or funeral service.
However, there will be a "Celebration of Jo's Life" held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, October 10, at the Pour House, 4030 Washington Street, W., Charleston.
Thanks to all who have been so nice to her through her illness. The good deeds and especially all the hugs meant more to Jo than anything else in the world. May she rest in peace, with no more pain.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to HospiceCare for their wonderful assistance during the last days of Jo's life, and especially her hospice caregivers, Bethany Prather, Mary Dunlap, Shellie Givens, and Debbie Montague. The family also wishes to acknowledge the employees at the Pour House for their kindness and patience shown to Jo during her illness.
Jo loved flowers and they will be accepted as well as donations to HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Boulevard, W., Charleston, WV 25312-2536.
