Joan Claire Shawver, 72, of Dunbar, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at her home.

She was a retired bookkeeper for United Bank and was a member of the former Humphreys Memorial United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her son, Michael Shawver and his wife, Theresa of Ogden, Utah; grandchildren, Michael Dale Shawver, serving with the US Air Force in Korea, Christopher Scott Shawver and Carrie E. Shawver of Ogden, Utah; great grandson, Mathew W. Shawver of Ogden, Utah; brothers, Paul C. Hermansdorfer of St. Albans and John C. Hermansdorfer of Kanawha City; sister, Mary C. Hermansdorfer of Kanawha City.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Dr. Okey B. Harless officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

Friends may call at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, 2 hours prior to the service on Wednesday.
