Joan C. Whittaker's Obituary
Joan C. Mitchell Whittaker, 79, of Dunbar passed away at her home on November 1, 2015.
She was a retired administrative secretary for the WV State Division of Rehabilitation. She was a member of Dunbar United Methodist Church and the Pilots Club of St. Albans. She was a native of Duhring, WV and a long-time resident of Dunbar.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow L. Whittaker; parents, John and Edith Mitchell; and sisters, Peggy G. Hensley and Mary Alice Stone.
Joan is survived by her sisters, Shirley E. Jennings of Flint, MI, Beverly E. McVey of Bluefield, WV, and Linda L. Hood of Logan, WV. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Upon her wishes, she was cremated and no services will be held.
Arrangements are in care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
