Joey Ray Walker's life unexpectedly ended on Sunday, September 10, 2023.

The late David Walker and Kathy Jones were blessed with their son, Joey, on October 15, 1971.

In addition to his dad, Joey was preceded in death by his step-dad, Wendell Jones.

Along with his mother, he is survived by his children; McKenna Miller, Blake Walker, Haleigh Walker, Alexis Walker and Dakota Walker; brothers, David and Jeffrey Walker; nephew, Tyler Walker; uncle, Tommy Young; and cousin, Tommy Young II. Joey also shared a close friendship with Mike Akers, Jason Goff, Crystal Walker, and Chase Bauer.

If you knew Joey, you should know him as a die-hard Mountaineer fan, and how nothing would change that. He always said he wore blue because it made "his eyes pop".  He had a great love of music and was always joking around and having a good time.  Joey was a very caring person, and willing to help out in any way he could.  He was a beloved son, father, and friend.  May peace be with you, Joey, as all your family and friends love, and miss you dearly.
