John William Asbury Jr., of Sissonville, passed away April 20, 2018, in Kanawha City.

He was born August 27, 1988, to John Asbury Sr. and Sherry Asbury Beane in Charleston.

John attended Sissonville High School and later received his GED.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents, Harry and Esther Asbury; and his paternal grandfather, Henry Asbury.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Keirrah Nelson; son, Kashton Nelson; ex-wife, Kandi Nelson; brothers, Harry Asbury and Robbie Coffman; sister. Stephanie Coffman; step-sisters, Rachel Halston and Ashley Duty; step-parents, Paul Beane and Bonnie Asbury; maternal grandfather, Jerry Layne (Wilma); grandmothers, Betty Asbury and Sharon Layne (Tommy Young); cousins; Dylan Asbury and Jessica Hayes; and many nieces, nephews, uncles and other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Jerry Naylor officiating.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
