John Paul Blackwell's Obituary
John Paul Blackwell, Sr., 69, of South Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 9, 2012, after a long illness.
He was a graduate of George Washington District High School and had been employed by the Marvin Restaurant, was a former manager of Shoney's Restaurant and also worked for Advance Security Service.
Surviving are his son, John Paul Blackwell, II of South Charleston and two daughters, Geneva Blackwell of Hurricane and Crystal Blackwell of Charleston; one brother, J. D. (Delbert) Blackwell of South Charleston.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Mark D. Thaxton officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
