He was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School, earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Charleston, and a Master of Business Administration from the WV Graduate College. He leaves behind a treasure trove of his artworks. John had a special place in his heart for the four-legged creatures among us, especially his dogs through the years—Lobo, Sugar Ray, Timo, Augie, Sissy, Kate, and Berfy Mae.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Jennifer; brother, G. Douglas Britton (Laurie) of Idaho; sister, Judith Abbott (J.R.) of Georgia; along with his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Douglas, Melissa, Justin, Andrea, and Jessica.
