John "Johnny" Creighton, 78, of South Charleston passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2024 with his wife and daughter by his side.

He was the third son born to the late George Sr. and Leulla Creighton.

Johnny retired from Thomas Memorial Hospital after 38 years.  He never met a stranger and made many great friends over the years.  When Johnny wasn't working, and after retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, bus trips, and was a member of the South Charleston Lions Club.  In recent years, he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his oldest brother, George Jr.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol; daughter, Carrie (Bryce); granddaughters, Alexis (Will) and Emilie; and great-grandchildren, Beckett and Madilynn.

The family would like to thank Hospice Care for their love and support throughout this process.

Family will welcome visitors from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with a graveside service to follow at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 7 in Fox Hill Cemetery.
