John "John Boy" Patrick Fields, 62, of Charleston passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 after a long illness.

He was an employee of Shoney's restaurant for 35 years.  He was a member of Iron Horse Baptist Church of Nitro.  He loved working on bicycles and going fishing.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Nancy Brown Fields of Poca; brother, Clark Fields II of Charleston; and nephew, Clark Fields III of Charleston.

He is survived by his companion of 11 years, Jennifer Knuckles of Charleston; nephews, Jonathan Fields (Ashley) of South Charleston and David Fields (Angela) of Milton; two great-nephews, Brayden and Travis of South Charleston; and a host of other family members left to cherish his memories.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
