John Mark Richardson Jr., 77, of Charleston, was called home on March 22, 2025.

He was born on November 3, 1947, in Charleston, to the late John and Beatrice Richardson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Jean Dugan.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Minerva Richardson; and his four children, Sean Richardson of Charleston, Dorian Baker of Charleston, Jeph Richardson (Leo Brown) of New York, and Maggie Richardson of South Carolina. John was a beloved grandfather of ten grandchildren, Aaron Richardson of North Carolina, Kinsleigh Long of Pittsburgh, Camdyn Louis Harris of Charleston, Keenan Richardson of South Carolina, Mariah, Julian, Emma, and Greyson Baker, all of Charleston, Quinn Baker of Arizona, and Cheyenne Baker of Fairmont. He was also blessed with one great-grandson, Angel Luis Santana III, of Pittsburgh. John leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who love him dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 4 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Steve Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.

Friends may visit from 11am to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 4 at Keller Funeral  Home, Dunbar.
