John P. Toney's Obituary
John P. Toney, 90, of Nitro, passed away, Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Moss' Care Home after a long illness.
He was born November 2, 1919 in Burnwell. Mr. Toney served his country in the South Pacific in the US Army during World War II. He was a graduate of WV Tech, and retired from Kanawha Valley Bank. He was a longtime member of the Baptist Temple.
Mr. Toney is survived by his sister, Margaret Owens of Nitro; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Penny Toney of Toledo, OH; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 15, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Ben Bess officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
