John C. Walker's Obituary
John C. Walker, 86, of Winfield, formerly of Dunbar, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Buffalo, WV on August 8, 1921, the son of the late Ethel Emma and the late James Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Lee Walker, brother, Claude and sister, Nova.
He was a roofing contractor for 26 years, and retired from Fad Furniture with 14 years of service.
Mr. Walker is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Della P. Staats Walker; grandchildren, Rhonda Riffe and her husband, Kevin of Charleston, Shawn Walker and his wife, Kellie of Kenova, Jeanette Wines and her husband, Rusty of Teays Valley; brothers, Otho of Gallipolis, OH, Dolph of Circleville, OH, Hollis of Arizona.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 8, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Mike Rader officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 7, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
