John M. Wheeler's Obituary
John M Wheeler, 87, of Cross Lanes, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the Rose Terrace Nursing Home in Culloden after a long illness.
He was born on September 17, 1924, son of the late Pearl and Esta Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler was a member of the Victory Baptist Church and was a retired pipefitter for Union Carbide with 36 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Wheeler; brother, Oris Wheeler; two sisters, Mona Quinn and Madeline Peffer and one granddaughter, Lori Tillinghast Ferrell.
Survivors include step-daughters, Toby Gosney Muncy and her husband, Lotus and Katie Gosney Lewis and her husband, Bob; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 5, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Rev. Jackie Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 4, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
