Joseph Michael Cox, 27, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2009.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Winifred and Wilbert Collins and paternal grandparents, Carolyn and Franklin "Dickie" Cox.

Surviving him are his wife, Elizabeth Cox of Dunbar; son, Austin Cox and his mother, Jessica Ford of St. Albans; daughters, Jhayden Austin and Cayla Cox both of Dunbar; mother, Connie Trent of Teays Valley; father, Frank Cox and his long time girlfriend, Debbie Barger of Elkview; sister, Rachel Cox of Huntington; half-sister, Crystal Cox; half brother, Franklin Cox, III; unbiological brothers, Jason Bowen, Brian Stover and Jeff "Barge" Barger, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, August 1, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Dr. Okey B. Harless officiating.

Friends may call beginning at 2 p.m., Saturday, until service time at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Joseph was a wonderful husband, father, son and brother. He loved his family and friends and the many good times they all had together will not soon be forgotten.
