Joseph Scott Veno, 55, of Dunbar, WV, formally of Portsmouth, NH passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020 of a long illness.
He was born October 14, 1964 in Portsmouth, NH.
He was a mechanic, but never past the opportunity to do other things like lobster fishing; and before leaving New Hampshire a framing carpenter. After relocating to West Virginia, he became known as "Mr. Joe the Fix-it Man" with his dear friend, Mr. Leroy Mosley. He would help anyone that needed something done, whether they could pay or not.
Joseph loved any sports and encouraged any kid to get involved in something besides video games. He was a lifetime fan of the New England Patriots. He loved listening to music.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Patricia Eastman; his dad, Avery Eastman; brother Roger Jones; and sister, Lisa Harnois.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 19 years, Beverly Veno; daughters, Heather Leigh Veno of Dover, NH and Katie Anderson of Portsmouth, NH; son, Cody Veno (Amanda) of Rochester, NH; step-daughters, Valerie Stephens (Harold) if Nitro, WV; Cassie Vannatter (John) of Charleston, WV; sisters, Rhonda Goulet of Woodbine, GA, Elaine Obey (Tom) of East Wakefield, NH; Kathy Edgerton (Brent) of Cornish, NH, Brenda Tremblay (David) of Rochester, NH, and Diane Pitts (Todd) of New Durham, NH; brother, Craig Eastman (Kara) of Dover, NH; grandchildren, Warren, Harley, Kendall, Harper, Daniel, and DeAndrea all of NH, Thomas, Makenzie, HayLee, Gracie, Xavier, and Anna all of WV; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be a memorial service in West Virginia at a later date, before he goes back to New Hampshire for his final resting place.
Arrangements are in care of Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
