Obituary

Joseph Eugene Weaver, Jr of Westerville, Ohio, formerly of South Charleston passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2008. He was born January 8, 1923.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ella Louise, of Westerville; their son and daughter-in-law Gene and Susan; granddaughters, Nancy Weaver and husband Mark Miller of St. Louis, MO and Laura Coates and husband Charlie of Gahanna, OH; and great-grandchildren Eliza, Jackson and Chase of St. Louis, MO and Dakota and A.J. of Gahanna, OH; brothers Robert L. and wife Phyllis of Alum Creek and Sonny and wife Nelia of Lake City, Florida; sisters Arminta and husband Richard Lutz of Spring Hill and Jeweldine and husband Norman Davis of Indiana; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Joe retired as Captain of the South Charleston Fire Department and as Inspector with the WV Fire Marshall's office. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Air Force, and was a past president of the South Charleston Kiwanis Club.

May Joe's unwavering love and devotion to his family serve as a model for us all.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 30, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
