Obituary

The Rev. Juanita J. Eads, 69, entered into Heaven on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Juanita was born October 11, 1942. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie and Murl Moses and Lilly Bell Wilcox Sauder and Lonnie Edward Hoover; brothers, Alonzo Loveless, Marty Williams, Donald Williams; half-brother, Woodrow Sauder; sister, Elizabeth Pauley; stepdaughter, Mary Ellen Haas; and special aunts and uncles.

Rev. Eads pastored Upton Creek Community Church for over 30 years and Edgewood Community Church for 7 years. She was faithful to hold church service in several different nursing homes around the valley, and taught school at Dollie Christian Academy and American Christian School, and she hosted Upton Creek Community Church Gospel Hour for 22 years. She worked for over 20 years at Parkway Supermarket and previously at a paint factory in Chicago.

Juanita is survived by her husband, Harlen Eads; children, Wayne and his wife, Bernie Mallory of Spring Hill, Cindy and her husband, Carl O'Neal of Dunbar, Sandy and her husband Keith Bishop of Sod, Vicki and her husband Charles Shelton of South Charleston, Hardy Eads of South Charleston; stepchildren, Terry and his wife Donna Eads, Charlotte White, Robin and her husband, Dewey Auxier, David Eads, Jeff and his wife CarenEads; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 19 step grandchildren; 25 step great grandchildren; brothers, Walter Pete Loveless, Edward Hoover, Dennie Williams; sister, Minnie Clark; half-brother, Stanley and his wife Nita Sauder; a loving pet, Chloe; very special longtime friends, Phyllis Higginbotham, Laura France.

Our mother was a very loving and caring person. She put God first and was always there for us. She gave us so much love and many precious memories. We will always remember her. In her last days, she told us she was just "changing headquarters". She will be sadly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Charles Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Bishop and Burgess Cemetery, Garretts Bend.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
