Judith "Judy" Ellen Lightner, 85, of Charleston, WV, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

Judy had a warm and friendly personality that made everyone feel welcome. She spent many years working in retail customer service, bringing smiles to countless faces during her time at Stone and Thomas, Elder Beerman, and Drug Emporium. Her kind spirit and familiar face made her a favorite among customers and coworkers alike.

She deeply loved her family and was absolutely crazy about her grandkids and great-grandkids. She also adored her cats, each one holding a special place in her heart.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Wilmer Lanhan Sr. and Ester Lanham; husband, Jack Lightner, and her sister, Kay Fletcher.

She is survived by her son, Rick Lightner (Teresa); her daughter, Cathy "Scutter" Lightner; her brother, Guy W."Bill" Lanham, Jr. (Linda); her grandchildren, Brian Lightner (Heather), Nicki Kessinger (Scott) and Candi Cantrell (David); and her great-grandchildren, Alexis, Brayden, Kennedi, Ayla, and Leo.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

A graveside service will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park, Charleston.

A procession will leave Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar at 1:00 p.m.
