Julius A. Gardner, Jr., 54, of Dunbar, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 15, 2023. He died unexpectedly.

Jr., as he was known to everyone, graduated from Dunbar High School. He was a former employee of Walmart, but was currently working for GoMart. He had served in the Naval Reserves from 1989 to 2003. He was learning abstract painting and was also an aspiring writer; hoping to get published this year. Jr. was a great husband, father and son.

He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Gardner Sr.; aunt, Becky; uncle, Bobby; and his grandparents.

Those left to honor his memory include his loving wife of 31 years, Patty; son, Tyler; brother, Mark; mother, Caroline; uncle, Larry; mother-in-law, Hazel; father-in-law, Othal; two sisters-in-law, Missy and Crystal; his cousins and friends that adored him.

He will be truly missed.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
