Karen Lynn Jones Pauley, 67, of South Charleston, lost her courageous battle with breast and bone cancer on May 11, 2015.

She was a member of the Church of Christ, attending Mallory Chapel Church of Christ and Rand Church of Christ.

Karen was the daughter of Clayton D. Jones and the late Virginia Mae White Jones.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, David S. Jones.

Karen is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Joel V. Pauley; daughters, Jessica R. Lake (Cory), Melissa L. Phillips (Philip); son, Josiah C. Pauley (Stephanie); five grandchildren, Abigail Lake, Dylan Phillips, Dawson Phillips, Savanna Phillips, and Elias Pauley; brothers, Aaron W. Jones (Fran) and Michael D. Jones (Tina); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth W. and Bobbye Pauley.

The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to HospiceCare and Karen's attending nurses. They also would like to thank Pastor Burt Hall for his support.

Per Karen's wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation. She will be laid to rest at Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston.
