Karen Y. Sanders, 75, of Cross Lanes, formerly of Clendenin, passed away on November 26, 2017 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston.

Karen was owner/operator of Val-U-Tax Service in Cross Lanes.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Lorraine Sanders Gillispie; father, Orville Sanders; son, Mark Lee Sanders; and sisters, Carol Litton (Roger), Sandy Barnhill Wilson (James), and Linda Sue Browning (Ricky).

Karen is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ernest Lee Sanders of Cross Lanes; son, Jeffrey Lee Sanders of Elkview; sister, Barbara Yessman (Alan) of Florida; granddaughter, Autumn Bice of Dunbar; grandson, Dakota Lee Sanders of South Charleston; and great-grandsons, Julian and Riley Bice of Dunbar.

A celebration of Mrs. Karen Sanders' life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Greg Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memorial Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
