Kathleen Westfall Miller, 98, of Plano, Texas, formerly of Dunbar, WV, passed away on March 22, 2009.

Kathleen was born August 13, 1910 in Letter Gap, WV to the late Lloyd and Allie Westfall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brook Miller.

Kathleen graduated from Glenville State College and Morris Harvey College. She was an elementary school teacher in Gilmer and Kanawha Counties.

Kathleen was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for 60 years before moving closer to her daughter in Texas. At Emmanuel Baptist, Kathleen was a member of the Lydia Bible class. She traveled with the Friendship force overseas as well as with the Ina Webb Travel Club within the United States. Kathleen was active with the Republican Club as well as the Kanawha County Association of Retired Teachers.

Surviving family members include her daughter, Linda Whelan of Plano, TX; son, Don Miller of Denver, CO; sister-in-law, Opal Westfall of Morrisville, NC and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p..m., Thursday, March 26, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Charleston, with the Reverend Ronald Stoner officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
