Kathryn Fae Randolph Cheeks Mitchell, 62, of Charleston, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010, at the Hubbard Hospice House.
She was a homemaker and was known to her grandchildren, their friends and most of the neighborhood as "Maw Maw Ke Ke."
She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin Perry and Martha Mae Randolph, her brothers, Franklin "Junior" Randolph, Jr. and Ned "Bo Bo" Randolph, sisters, Lorene Slack and Louise Rardon.
Surviving are her husband, George David Mitchell, son, Jerry T. Cheeks, Jr. and his girlfriend, Tiffany Williams of South Charleston; daughter, Melissa Fae Booth and her husband, Glynn of Cross Lanes; step-son, David Mitchell and his wife, Jeanie of Sissonville, step-daughters, Angie Lovejoy of Ohio, Georgia White and her husband, Scott of Bridgeport, WV, Jeanette Peal and her husband, Kevin of Sissonville, Betty Jo Rock of Charleston, Helen Luye of Missouri, Darlene Colburn, Diane Mitchell and Donna Keller of Florida and Kathryn's husband's sister and brothers, the late Freddie Mitchell and his wife Velma of Sissonville, Helen Smith and her husband Jerry of Michigan, Kenneth Mitchell, David Anderson and the late Buddy Mitchell all of Charleston. Also surviving are grandchildren, Dustin and Chelsea Booth.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Paul Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
