Keith Edward Cole, 56, of Scott Depot departed this life unexpectedly February 10, 2006 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Allentown, PA.
Keith was born October 4, 1949 in Charleston, a son of Mildred and the late Woodrow Cole. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Artie Cole.
He was a graduate of South Charleston High School and a career truck driver. Keith served in the U.S. Army for 7 years and was a proud veteran. He was a member of Cross Lanes Baptist Church.
Keith loved life and those who knew him appreciated that every day was an adventure. He was a wonderful, devoted husband and father and especially embraced his role as a "Papa". A true outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing, boating and camping at the lake with family and friends.
Surviving are his wife and soul mate of 37 years, Brenda; sons Clinton of South Charleston and Eric and wife Nikki of Hurricane and beloved grandchildren, Justin, Grace and Bethany. Also surviving are his mother, Mildred of South Charleston; brothers, Woody of South Charleston, Tinker of North Charleston, Gary of Saint Albans; sisters, Mona of North Charleston and Phyllis of Florida as well as many nieces and nephews.
Keith will be missed by all for years to come more than he ever could have imagined.
The Cole family would like to relay their appreciation and thanks to all of those who have already shared their love, support, expressions of sympathy and stories of fun times with Keith during this very difficult time.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 18, at Cross Lanes Baptist Church from 1 to 2 p.m. with memorial service immediately following, with the Rev. Seth Polk officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cross Lanes Baptist Building Fund, 102 Knollwood Drive, Cross Lanes, WV 25313, or the, Alzheimer's Association, 1111 Lee Street E., Charleston, WV 25301 would be appreciated.
