Kelly Sue Bailey Abshire, 40, of Dunbar, departed this life on Saturday, February 24, 2007, after a two year fight with cancer.

Kelly was born on December 2, 1966 in Dunbar. She was a 1985 graduate of Dunbar High School. She worked for Wiseman Construction Company for 21 years. Kelly was a life-long member of the Dunbar Church of Christ. She dedicated a lot of her time to the youth and her church family even during her illness.

She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Bailey and brother, Greg Bailey.

Mrs. Abshire is survived by her husband, Marshall Abshire; daughter, Sara Bailey of Dunbar; mother, Emogene Bailey of Dunbar. Kelly is also survived by her sisters, Teresa Rene Hanson of Winfield, Kim Landers of Dunbar, Lisa Asbury of Fraziers Bottom, their husbands and by her beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Dunbar Church of Christ, 309 15th Street, Dunbar, with Minister Donnie J. Chapman officiating.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the church.

The family requests for donations to be made in Kelly's name to the Dunbar Church of Christ Youth Group, so that her work for the Lord may be continued.
