Kenneth Warren Matheny's Obituary
Kenneth Warren Matheny, born July 21, 1945 in Buckhannon, WV, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2007, in Houston, Texas.
He was employed as an independent contractor in Field Services on Verizon Communications Facilities.
He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil W. "Mac" Matheny.
Mr. Matheny is survived by his wife, Barbara V. Matheny of Houston, TX; mother, Mary C. Matheny of Dunbar; daughter, Jennifer L. Harkins and her husband, Gregory A. Harkins of St. Albans; grandchildren, Stephanie Nicole Halstead and Eric Preston Halstead, both of St. Albans.
Visitation for family and friends will be at the Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens Chapel on Saturday, October 27, 2007, beginning at 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 12 noon. The closing of the niche follows immediately thereafter.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations for heart research be made to the American Heart Association in Ken's name. You may call them at 1-800-242-8721. If you prefer, you may mail donations to: The American Heart Association, P. O. Box 15186, Austin, TX 78761.
At this time of sorrow, we ask that you remember the family in your thoughts and prayers.
