It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth Dale Smithson, (Mr. K.D.), announces his passing on Saturday, April 28, at the age of 79.

Kenneth was a self-employed business man of Smithson Roofing, and S and S Carwash. He loved spoiling his daughters.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Annis Smithson; father, Walter Smithson; son, Michael Smithson; brothers, Carl Smithson, and Ralph (Mousie) Smithson; and great-granddaughter Lilly Anna Hoffman.

He will be remembered by his daughters, Sabrenna (Beany) Midkiff, and Sue (Susie) Hoffman, and a son-in-law, Greg Midkiff.

Kenneth will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Ashley Midkiff, Dylan Midkiff, Brock Hoffman, Luke Hoffman, Landon Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Harrison Hoffman, Couper Westbrook, Dylanie Midkiff, Gunner Belcher, and two more boys on the way; sisters Virginia Gillenwater, and Doris (Darrell) Monday, and a host of family, friends, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston.
