Kyle R. "Bob" Patteson, 80, of Summerfield, Fla. passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007 at Marion House Health Care Center, Ocala, Fla.

He was born in Speedway, WV and was a retired truck driver for Meadow Gold Dairy. Mr. Patteson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belleview, Fla. and was a veteran of WW II, having served in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Exie Patteson and his brother, Clayton Patteson.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Boling Patteson; daughters, Dottie Slone and her husband, Carl of Summerfield, Fla., Cookie Rothwell and her husband, Tim of Dunbar; brothers, Crozier Patteson and his wife, Annie of Bluefield, Tommy Patteson and his wife, Zula of Princeton, James Patteson and his wife, Jean of Roanoke Rapids, NC; sisters, Pearl Fortner of Princeton, Ruby Carroll of Bluefield, Launa Barrett of Greensboro, NC, Rosella Bird and her husband Larry of Gretna, La., Betty Long and her husband, Jim of Bluefield, Sue Lilly and her husband, Clinton of Spanishburg, WV; sister-in-law, Betty Rae Patteson of Greensboro, NC; grandson, Bobby Rothwell and great granddaughter, Kelsie Rothwell, both of Dunbar.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, with the Rev. Richard Carbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
