Larry "Papa Smurf" Harless, 72, of St. Albans departed to be with the Lord on March 25, 2017 after a short illness.

He enjoyed fishing, bowling, racing, and football. He adored his family and his cat, Buffy.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mae Harless.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Harless; children, John Artis, Terry Steed, Crystal Murrhee, Ginger Murrhee, and Beth Alexander; a special friend, Tonya Harless; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Larry had a good heart and was good to everyone.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Friends and family may gather one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
