Larry Allen Johnson, Sr., 69, of South Charleston, passed away on February 11, 2015 surrounded by those who loved him.
He was born on April 29, 1945 in South Charleston to the late Charles and Audrey Shultz Johnson.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his son, Robert Johnson; brothers, Jerry Johnson, Ralph Johnson and Ward Pauley; sisters, Betty Hart, Beulah Johnson; and Juanita Clark, who was like a second mother to him.
Larry is survived by his son, Larry Johnson, Jr. of South Charleston; daughter, Patricia Griffith (Tim) of St. Albans; companion, Dawn Butler of South Charleston, and their children Travis and Makayla; brothers, Kenneth "Boe" Johnson of Clarksville, Tenn., Gary Johnson of South Charleston, Ronnie Johnson (Yolanda) of St. Albans, Reuben Johnson of South Charleston, Carl Johnson of South Charleston, Randy Johnson (Pat) of St. Albans and Rick Johnson of South Charleston; sisters, Charlotte Dunlap of Tampa, Fla., Dora Harvey of South Charleston, Lorraine Kinder (John) of Milton and Rosa Wells (Ed) of Roanoke, Va.; grandchildren, Daniel, Whitney, Sarah, Caden, Kayla, Landen; and several nieces and nephews.
Though you are gone, you will be forever in our minds and our hearts.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 16, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Pastor Lee Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in Robert Johnson Memorial Cemetery.
Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service on Monday at Keller Funeral Home.
