Larry Allen King, 58, of St. Albans, passed away March 21, 2007 at CAMC Memorial Division after a long and severe illness.
Born March 10, 1949 in Charleston, the son of the late Orville and Amanda King, he was a professional high rise window washer and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by a son, his precious angel, Rocky Smith; brothers, Ronald Kinder and Fred King; nephew, Vic King and brother-in-law, Bo Blyskal.
Mr. King is survived by his wife of 33 years and the love of his life, Diane of St. Albans; his only daughter, Stacy King of Charleston; sons, Jason King of Ohio, Sterling Thaxton of Charleston; brothers, Doug King of Oregon, Jerry King of Green Creek; sisters, Ann Griffith of Dunbar, Marylou Withrow of Charleston; mother-in-law and best friend, Madeline "Maz" Smith of St. Albans; granddaughters, Cierra King of Ohio, Kayla Thaxton of Charleston; brothers-in-law, Bob Smith of Elkview, Dale Smith of St. Albans, Shannon Smith of South Carolina; sisters-in-law, Deannie Blyskal of Hurricane, Lois Kent, Robin Smith and Cammi Smith all of St. Albans, 11 nephews, 13 nieces, 7 great nephews, 8 great nieces and special friends, Ralph Rutledge, James and Rachel Ward and Dan Lunsford.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 24, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 23, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
