Larry D. Melton, 69, of Dunbar, WV peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025 in his home, surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.

He was a 1977 graduate of Dunbar High School.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, JoAnne McLaughlin Melton and Carroll Melton;  and paternal grandparents, Stanley and Mary Melton; and his maternal grandparents, Leslie and Virgie McLaughlin.

He leaves behind his sister, Sherry Richardson (Mike) of Sandyville; his daughters, Alicia (Cliff) Ward of Dunbar, Kathy Adkins (Cody) of South Charleston; his grandkids, Taylor Deal (Justin), Brian Radabaugh, Kirsten Core (Ryan), Cheyanne, Richard, and Summer; seven great-grandkids; along with many cousins and friends.

Those who knew Larry knew he loved life, loved riding his Harley and side-by-side, but most of all he loved his family.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with Reverend Pete Thompson officiating.  Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens.

Family will welcome visitors from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
